SW 570 - Human Behavior in the Social Environment II This course expands and builds upon the theoretical framework explored in SW 520. Theories of humanbehavior as they relate to mid-life and aging are addressed. Students are introduced to the impact of lifeexperiences such as trauma, military service, loss, experiencing divorce, and issues relating to retirement andchronic illness. Students are challenged to think more critically about how attention to multiple theories andexperiences influences their ability to engage, assess, intervene and evaluate their work with individuals,families, organizations and communities. This course assesses Social Work EPAS Competencies 1,4,7,9. Credits: 3
