MI 126 - Basic Leadership This course builds upon the fundamentals introduced in MI 116 - Foundations of Officership , by focusing on leadership theory and decision making. “Life Skills” lessons in this semester include: problem solving, critical thinking, leadership theory, followership, group interaction, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms. Upon completion of this semester, students are prepared to advance to more complex leadership instruction concerning the dynamics of organizations. Additionally, students will be increasingly required to demonstrate knowledge of leadership fundamentals and communications (written and oral). Prerequisite(s): MI 116 or the consent of the Department Chairperson. Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 0 Credits: 1
