ACC 617 - Advanced Managerial Accounting Issues This course places emphasis on high-level strategic decision making for planning and control in organizations. The course focuses on data analytics and performance metrics in decision-making. Managerial tools and concepts such as target setting, activity-based costing, strategic alignment with management objectives, measurement and control of quality costs and capacity, operational constraints, and emerging managerial accounting issues will be explored. In addition, this course will examine the computation and analysis of metrics from the perspective of GAAP and IFRS. Special emphasis will be placed on trends in management accounting/corporate environments through case studies that effect desired change in organizations. Prerequisite(s): MBA 515 Credits: 3
