MU 521 - History of the Concerto Study of the concerto as a contributing form of western art music. Study of composers and analysis of representative works from the 17-century to the present day will be donein context of musical and cultural developments of the various periods. Particular attention will be given to concerto repertoire for violin, viola, cello, and piano. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in music or permission of instructor. Repeatable for Credit No Credits: 3
