NS 319 - International Health Issues


This course is designed to acquaint the student with health issues including the social, behavioral, and environmental influences on health and the delivery of health care in the United States and other countries. The concepts of health and illness will be explored from a multicultural viewpoint along with a variety of strategies for the promotion and protection of health, the prevention of disease, and the treatment modalities such as herbal medicine, therapeutic touch, acupuncture, etc. Current global issues will be discussed.
