FIN 643 - Entrepreneurial Finance This course will familiarize you with topics in entrepreneurial finance. It focuses on applying financial theories and principles to small firms. There is special emphasis on specific issues that confront small businesses through their life cycle of development, start-up companies, venture capital markets, private equity and debt financing, valuing small companies and harvesting methods. The course is divided into two parts-part one covers small business survival skills, including assessing financial performance, financial planning, identifying external financing needs and business valuation; part two addresses the issues and challenges associated with financing for entrepreneurial enterprises. Prerequisite(s): HA 516 (MBA 615 ). Credits: 3
