CH 204 - Nutrition for the Health Sciences A review of the basic concepts of biochemistry and nutrition as it relates to digestion, absorption and metabolism of macro-and micro-nutrients throughout the life cycle. A study of nutrition as it relates to the prevention and intervention of disease states including, but not limited to, obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiac, liver, kidney, and gastrointestinal disorders.
