Long Term Care Administration, Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Long Term Care Administration prepares professionals to lead and innovate in the dynamic field of long-term care, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of residents and clients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and home and community-based services. Through interdisciplinary education and evidence-based practices, students gain the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundations to address the challenges of aging populations, ensure high-quality care, and drive organizational excellence. The certificate curriculum aligns with the academic requirements for eligibility to sit for the National Association of Long Term Care Administrators Boards (NAB) licensure exam. It covers the NAB CORE examination domains, including: (1) care, services, and supports; (2) operations; (3) environment and quality; and (4) leadership and strategy. With the healthcare system evolving to meet the needs of an aging population, graduates are well-positioned for diverse and meaningful career opportunities in this expanding field.

Mission

The mission of Park University’s Graduate Certificate in Long Term Care Administration program is to prepare professionals to lead and innovate in the dynamic field of long-term care, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of residents and clients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and home and community-based services.

Vision

The Graduate Certificate in Long Term Care Administration will consistently graduate socially responsible professionals capable of managing and improving healthcare delivery in long-term care settings.

Graduation Requirements


Park University confers Graduate Certificates at selected locations when a candidate has satisfied the following conditions:

  • Completion of residency requirement, at least 75% of the coursework completed at Park
  • Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0* (for courses in the certificate)
  • Completion of coursework with no more than 2 grades of C earned at Park University
  • Meet all requirements of the specific program as outlined in this catalog
  • Submission of an Application for Graduation
