AR316 - Modern Art Modern Art is a study of painting, sculpture, architecture and other visual arts from the late nineteenth century to the present. Major art movements such as Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Pop Art, Conceptual Art, Activist Art and other movements will be discussed. Gallery, museum or virtual tours will augment in-class instruction. This is a writing intensive course where students should expect a significant amount of writing related to visual art in the modern era.
