Liberal Arts, A.A Locations  

 

A Liberal Education, as defined by ancient Greek tradition, is not politically motivated but rather refers to a broad-based education designed to cultivate general knowledge and intellectual skills. This type of education prepares students for a future that demands adaptability and a wide range of essential skills. As a student in our Associate of Arts in Liberal Education, you will have the flexibility to attend classes at any Park University location or choose from various modes of delivery. The program requires 60 credit hours: 43 credit hours dedicated to the Liberal Education Program, an additional 3 credit hours for University requirements, and 9 credit hours of electives

University Requirements For: A.A. Major – 18 hours, 2.0 GPA


  • Credits: 3
  • Select Two Writing Intensive Courses for a total of 6 credit hours.  Credits / Units: 6

  • Choose three- 3 credit hour elective courses for a total of 9 credit hours. Credits / Units: 9

Communications Requirement 9 cr.

Artistic Interpretation and Creation Requirement 6 cr.

Graduation Requirements


Park University confers the Associates of Arts and Associate of Science degrees at selected locations when a candidate has satisfied the following conditions:

  • FYE100 First-Year Seminar  (required for all incoming first-time freshmen and highly encouraged for transfer students)
  • Presentation of a minimum of sixty (60) earned credit hours.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 for Park University courses. (Some majors may require a higher cumulative GPA.)
  • Satisfaction of all requirements for a major as outlined in this catalog.
  • Completion of degree specific requirements.
  • Completion of Liberal Education requirements.
  • Completion of 15 earned (A, B, C, D) Park University credit hours in residence. At least nine of these credits must be in the major.
  • Submission of an Application of Graduation.
