MI 216 - Individual Leadership Studies This semester is designed to develop within the student a knowledge of self, self-confidence and individual skills. Through experiential learning activities, students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, and apply communication, feedback and conflict resolution skills. Building upon the fundamentals introduced in MI 116 / MI 126 this course delves into several aspects of communication and leadership theory. The focus of the semester is on critical “life skills” which will enable the student’s future success. The course concludes with a major leadership and problem solving case study which draws upon previous instruction. Prerequisite(s): MI 116 and MI 126 or the consent of the Department Chairperson.
