The Sustainability Studies program will provide students with highly sought-after skills, opening doors to a wide range of career opportunities in business, government, and education. The purpose of the Sustainability Studies is to equip individuals to understand, tackle, and lead entrepreneurial initiatives that address environmental, social, and economic challenges, contributing to a more sustainable world. Core objectives include recognizing sustainability issues, promoting effective solutions within society, and fostering leadership and collaboration in building a sustainable society.

Requirements For: Sustainability Studies Major – 91-94 CR, 2.0 GPA
Natural Science Core, 22 CR.
Social Science Core, 18 CR.
Professional Studies:Core: Management and Leadership, 15 CR.
Professional Studies Core: Work Integrated Learning Electives, 6 CR.
Select 6 Credits in Upper Division courses (300/400). * Students’ faculty advisors will assist in selection of courses that integrate professional, workplace applications. Students may also utilize 3-6 of the elective credit hours to pursue a formal internship through the Academic and Career Success Center. Note: Liberal Education-designated courses are not allowed to fulfill the major electives. Capstone Requirement

3 credit hours of Professional Writing (EN306* or equivalent from the list below) plus 6 credit hours of Writing Intensive coursework are required. Park University grants the Bachelor of Professional Studies upon completion of the following requirements: Completion of a minimum of 90 semester hours with a cumulative 2.0 GPA. Satisfaction of major requirements. Completion of degree specific requirements. Completion of Liberal Education requirements. Completion of residency requirement, 30 hours of earned and graded (A, B, C) college hours at Park University. At least 15 of these 30 hours must be in the major. Submission of an Application for Graduation. |
