AR 296 - Textiles for Interior Design AR296 is a study of interior textiles beginning with the properties of both natural and synthetic fibers. Students will identify textiles by fiber content, yarn, construction, weave and finish and will explain the effect of each of these components on the performance of a finished textile product. Students will be aware of the impact of textile products on life safety, the environment and human wellbeing. Students will evaluate textiles for their appropriateness for various end uses as well as describe fabrication, installation methods, and maintenance requirements for the various textile products used in an interior. Prerequisite(s): AR 290 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Credits: 3
