EDC 220 - Child Growth and Development for Early Childhood and Elementary Teachers


A study of the growth and development of children, birth through the years of middle childhood. Emphasis will be placed on contemporary multicultural dimensions of development and child rearing, and their implications for teachers. Students will spend a total of 15 contact hours (5 hours each) observing an infant or toddler, a pre-primary aged child, kindergartner, or first grader, and a second, third, fourth or fifth grader.
