ELC 112 - Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary I

This course is designed to develop beginning English language skills, focusing on vocabulary and reading comprehension. Students learn to comprehend affirmative/negative statements and questions using simple tenses. Students develop reading strategies including guessing meaning from context, reading for specific information in order to read short texts for main ideas and details, and learn general vocabulary to facilitate communication.
