PH 333 - Ethical and Legal Issues at the End of Life This course explores the ethical and legal ramifications of dying and death in the 21st century. It covers such topics as the definition of death, advance care directives, suicide, physician- assisted death, truth-telling, the nature of grief, as well as the financial and economic aspects of dying. Additionally, the course will examine the historical development of ethics related to multicultural aspects of dying and death. Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Credits: 3
