SO 322 - Sociology of Health and Illness This course examines the sociological view of health, illness, and the delivery of medical care in contemporary society. It includes social and social-psychological factors involved in being ill; social relationships and organizations that are connected with medical treatment the roles of providers and patients; and national health care systems around the world. This course integrates recent research in the field of medical sociology and highlights the importance of race, class, and gender throughout. Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 Credits: 3
