SO 425 - Sociology of Work and Professions Analysis of work in the United States and a global economy. Examines the division of labor, central and peripheral labor markets, occupational prestige and professionalization, work and identity, occupational mobility, formal work hierarchies and informal colleagueship, socialization and work processes, types of occupations and professions, and the influences of large corporations and globalization.
