EDC 340 - Language and Literacy Development in Early Childhood


A study of language and literacy development in young children. Emphasis will be placed on the roles of teachers and families in facilitating reading, writing, speaking and listening in young children, from birth through age 5. Students will observe and interact with children for (5) five hours in each of the following early childhood settings: Infant or Toddler, Pre- primary, Early Elementary (K-3).
Prerequisite(s): EDC 220  and EDC 222
